An Appleton man is facing charges after he reportedly led police on a chase through Wrightstown.
The Wrightstown Police Department was called at around 3:30 AM yesterday morning (June 17th) to the area of Bengal Lane on a report of a vehicle driving slowly without their headlights on.
Police located the vehicle partially in the ditch, and when they activated their emergency lights, the 31-year-old driver pulled out of the ditch and took off toward the squad cars, nearing causing a head-on collision.
The vehicle sped off down Plum Road, High Street, and failed to navigate the roundabout at High and Turner Streets. He went into the ravine and struck a tree.
It is not clear if he suffered any serious injuries, but he was arrested on charges of Recklessly Endangering Safety, Eluding an Officer, and Suspicion of Impaired Driving.
