The Roncalli Jets softball team entered the postseason as the 7 seed, but shocked the state as they toppled #2 seeded Princeton/Green Lake on Monday 5-0 in extra innings.
However, their Cinderella story came to an end yesterday, as they fell to the #3 seed, Stockbridge/Hilbert by a score of 11-6.
Stockbridge/Hilbert was able to score three runs in the first two innings, a deficit the Jets were unable to overcome.
Despite the loss, the Jets were able to scatter 7 hits, with Mckenzie Staudinger and Maddie Hablewitz accounting for two hits apiece.
Jena Garceau took the loss on the mound, surrendering all 11 runs on 11 hits while striking out 3 batters.
