The body of a boater that went missing Sunday evening about five miles south of Bay Shore County Park has been found.
Two kayakers found the body of 28-year-old Jorge Bautista of Green Bay at around 4:00 PM yesterday afternoon and called law enforcement.
Bautista was among seven people who were on a 16-foot boat when it capsized near Vincent Point at around 9:30 PM Sunday evening.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office cites the heavy winds on the lake that night as a likely cause for the incident, noting there were 8-10 foot waves.
The six others that were on board were rescued, including one child.
The DNR has taken over control of the investigation.
