An Appleton woman who is facing charges in the death of her son in 2017 has entered a not guilty plea.
Police were called to an apartment on North Richmond Street on June 6th, 2017, and arrived to find the two-month-old child had died due to suffocation.
The suspect and mother of the child, Nicole Sobay, told authorities that she had fallen asleep in the same bed as her infant, and when she woke up, the child was unresponsive.
She did admit to having several drinks prior to falling asleep, but she also tested positive for methamphetamine, opiates, and cannabinoids.
Sobay will return to court for a pre-trial conference on August 11th.
