The dog who was struck by a car in Manitowoc earlier this year has been adopted.
On March 26th, we reported that the canine, named Culligan by staff at the Lakeshore Humane Society, was struck by a car on County Highway B.
He had run into a field and was retrieved by two Humane Society staff members.
Culligan suffered a broken hip joint, and several other severe injuries, and the Humane Society called on the public to help pay for his treatments.
The Manitowoc Community responded, and now two and a half months later, Culligan is in a happy healthy home.
In a post on Facebook, the Humane Society said, “We are so grateful for everyone who donated towards Culligan’s care, brought Culligan gifts while he healed, sent warm wishes, veterinarians, and their staff, Culligan’s foster mom, volunteers, and so many more who helped Culligan on his long journey of healing. We couldn’t have done this without you!”
