Two men were arrested on Bail Jumping charges after a report of shots being fired in Manitowoc.
A caller reported the gunfire at around 12:30 AM last night (June 9th) in the 1000 block of Madison street. Eight officers responded to the scene, with five of them grabbing their rifles, and three grabbed their handguns, with one of them utilizing a shield.
The officers set up a perimeter around a home in the 1300 block of South 12th Street, when three women walked out of the building. They made contact with the two men inside the building, who exited without incident.
No evidence of a shooting was found, but one of them, a 26-year-old man, was arrested on a Felony Bail Jumping charge, as he was intoxicated and was under a court order to maintain absolute sobriety.
The other individual, also a 26-year-old man, was taken in on six counts of Felony Bail Jumping for the same reason.
It is not clear at this time if any additional charges will be filed against the men.
