
The number of new cases of COVID-19 remained low in Manitowoc County yesterday (June 7th), while the vaccination numbers were moderate.
Only two new cases were reported by the Health Department, bringing the pandemic total up to 7,644 confirmed cases, while the death toll remained unchanged at 72.
On the vaccination front, 456 shots were administered yesterday, with 155 of those being first-dose shots. In total, 67,097 shots have been given out, with 35,930, or roughly 45.5% of county residents, receiving at least one dose.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported six new cases, along with only three recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,855 confirmed cases, 13,646 recoveries, and leaves 63 cases active.
Their death toll also remained unchanged at 146.
