
The name of one of the two Appleton residents who were killed in a weekend crash in Shawano County has been released.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, 36-year-old Adam J. Brown was driving his motorcycle south on Highway 47 near Highline Road in the Town of Hartland just after noon on Saturday (June 5th) when he struck the back end of a truck.
The bike then careened into the northbound lanes of traffic, where it was struck by another vehicle.
Both Brown and the 13-year-old boy who was also on the bike were killed in the crash, while the 65-year-old man from Black Creek, who was driving the truck, and a 64-year-old woman in the truck were uninjured.
The driver of the van, identified as a 71-year-old Shawano man, as well as his passenger, a 64-year-old Shawano woman, were hospitalized for serious but non-life-threatening injuries at Theda Clark Medical Center.
The names of those w four individuals have not yet been released.
