A 21-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested over the weekend on a THC possession charge after he failed to obey construction signs.
An officer with the Manitowoc Police Department was parked along Maritime Dive at around 2:15 PM Sunday afternoon (June 6th), when he noticed a vehicle traveling west that appeared to have an illegal tint.
He then watched as the driver pulled up to a sign that instructed drivers to keep right around construction equipment.
The driver went left around the sign, driving into oncoming traffic.
The officer pulled the vehicle over and noticed the smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle uncovered marijuana in a baggie in the back seat of the car, as well as a handgun.
The man did not have a concealed carry license, so he was arrested on charges of Possession of THC, his second offence, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
