For the past 100 years, the Francis Creek Fire Department has been protecting the citizens of the area, and this weekend they are celebrating that milestone.
On Saturday (June 5th) and Sunday, there will be food, drinks, raffles, and music at the department headquarters. Nettle Hill will be playing from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday and will be followed by Road Trip.
A parade is also planned for Sunday and will begin at 11:15 AM at the post office. The route will go down Forrest Home Drive, turn onto Parkway Road, and will and at Pla-Mor Park.
Water fights and polka music will round out the celebration.
More information can be found at the Francis Creek Fire/Rescue Facebook page.
Also in Francis Creek this weekend, the Lions Club is hosting their Village Wide Rummage Sale.
That will take place today (June 4th) and Saturday, at multiple locations throughout the village.
