
Manitowoc County Residents are once against starting to get vaccinated for COVID-19 at a higher rate.
In their report yesterday (June 1st), the Manitowoc County Health Department reported that 420 vaccines were given over the weekend and on Tuesday, with 256 of those being first doses. This brings the total number of vaccines administered up to 66,112, with 35,547 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
Also, only two new cases were reported, bringing the pandemic total up to 7,634. No new deaths were attributed to COVID, leaving that total at 72, while 15 people remain hospitalized in the area.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, 11 new cases were reported by the Division of Public Health. That coupled with 17 recoveries, leaves their pandemic totals at 13,838 confirmed cases, 13,622 recoveries, and 70 cases remain active.
They also had no new deaths, leaving that total at 145.
