A Manitowoc man was arrested on Monday after he allegedly struck a woman following an argument about food.
Officers were dispatched to a lot in the Trailer Park located at 2000 Johnston Drive at around 1:30 PM on Memorial Day.
When they arrived, a woman at the residence told the officers that she and the 22-year-old male suspect had gotten into an argument earlier in the day because the man believed the woman, with whom he shares a child, had not made enough food for the family.
Sometime during the argument, the woman claimed the suspect struck her with a closed fist.
The man claimed the woman was injured after she “threw herself on the ground.”
The man was arrested, and found to be in possession of marijuana, and had a couple of warrants out for his arres
The man was charged with Battery and Disorderly Conduct, each with a domestic violence order, and Misdemeanor Possession of THC
