The Lakeshore area recently lost two prominent men from the sport of bowling.
Roger “The Horse” Hastreiter of Manitowoc passed away earlier this month, and his funeral services were held last Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi-Grand site.
Then, late last week, Joseph (Joe) Brisch formerly of Manitowoc, died in Brooksville, Florida. A mass and celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, June 12th at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo.
Both Brisch and Hastreiter were strong family men with a passion for bowling.
Joe Brisch also loved the game of golf and served as a rules official with the Wisconsin State Golf Association over the past decade. In recognition of his service, the WSGA last year presented him with the inaugural Arnold Walker Volunteer Award.
