Some additional safety features will be added to a couple of sections of I-43 starting next week.
Crews will be installing additional cable barriers along the sections of the highway between Polifka and Fishersville Roads in Manitowoc County, and between Highways V and EE in Sheboygan County.
These barriers are placed on the interior sections of the Interstate to help keep runaway vehicles from crossing over into oncoming traffic.
The $900,000 project will begin on June 1st and will take until August to complete.
Single lane closures can be expected in those areas during that time frame.
