A bar located near downtown Manitowoc is directly responsible for helping save nine dogs from a kill shelter in Texas, according to the Lakeshore Humane Society.
The local pet shelter thanked Ann from Digger Dave’s for the donation, which they said covered the cost of transportation and the pull fees for all of the canines.
A kill shelter is defined as an animal shelter that accepts all animals with no restrictions, no age limitations, no health standards or behavioral requirements.
While in theory, this is a very noble cause, they end up not having enough room for more animals, so they end up euthanizing many of them, hence the name kill shelter.
In a post on Facebook, the Lakeshore Humane Society thanked Ann, saying “Your generous donation has helped to save these dogs and give them a new start at LHS.”
