Loaded guns have been the target of a string of thefts in Green Bay.
According to the Green Bay Police Department, not only are the guns loaded, they have all been stolen from unlocked vehicles.
At least once a month over the past several months, the police have received reports of similar thefts, something they call disturbing and frustrating.
In total, 15 weapons have been stolen over the last five months, with the most recent taking place earlier this week.
It is not clear if the stolen weapons were used in any of the nearly 30 shooting cases in the city this year, which is three times as many as last year and 2019.
The Police Department is asking people to never leave a gun in their vehicle unattended, and, as they do every time there is a string of thefts out of unlocked vehicles, they are asking people to ensure their cars are locked at all times
