In a rare showing of bipartisanship in Washington, a measure that was penned by 6th District Congressman Glen Grothman of Glenbeulah, known as the Air America Act, has passed the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
The Committee actually passed it in a unanimous vote. Grothman introduced the Air America Act on February 24th, and it now has over 100 bipartisan cosponsors.
This bill will correct an inequity suffered by the brave Americans who are former employees of Air America by ensuring they receive the federal retirement benefits and recognition they have earned.
The next step for the bill is a vote on the full House of Representatives.
