We received questions from the public yesterday (May 25th) regarding a situation that occurred near McKinley Academy in Manitowoc over the weekend.
We reached out to Manitowoc Police Chief Nick Reimer who explained that there were extra police officers attached to what he termed a “high-risk traffic stop” on Huron Street on Sunday.
The occupants of the vehicle were having an altercation, and the individual who called 911 reported seeing one of the occupants waving a handgun.
Officers did not locate a handgun in the vehicle, and another occupant said they did not see one either.
No additional information will be released, as no one was arrested during the incident.
