More details have come out surrounding the fatal shooting in Two Rivers last week.
19-year-old Joshua Walcott made his initial court appearance yesterday afternoon, where he was officially charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide with Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Attempted Sexual Assault of a Child under 16 Years of Age, Exposing a Child to Harmful Descriptions, and Felony Bail Jumping.
Police were called to the home at 1809 28th Street in the early morning hours of May 17th, to find a deceased male, later identified as 17-year-old Malachi Myles Anthony Moore.
The criminal complaint states that Walcott and Moore were arguing about who made more money, and one witness, Rodney Anderson, told police that Walcott was waiving a handgun around. Anderson, who is also facing charges in the incident, said he attempted to break up the fight, but the gun went off, shooting and killing Moore.
It was also reported that Walcott had exposed himself to a 15-year-old girl and tried to have sex with her. Moore told the girl he had recorded Walcott’s actions and was going to send it to Walcott’s girlfriend. This started an argument, but the girl said they went into another room.
Walcott remains in the County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 2nd.
