Another long-term road closure has been announced for Monday (May 24th) in Manitowoc.
According to Engineering Division Manager Greg Minikel, Broadway Street between Meadow Lane and N. Rapids Rd. will be closed to through traffic for the reconstruction of Broadway St. from Meadow Lane to the Lower Schuette Park entrance. There will also be some additional pavement replacement work in the intersection of North 41st St. and Broadway St., which is scheduled to be completed in the middle of June. The City is also working to coordinate the deck patching and deck sealing work on the Broadway Street Bridge during the same timeframe as the street reconstruction work.
The bridge deck patching and sealing work is being done by NorconCorporation and is currently scheduled to start on or about June 1st. It is anticipated that the projects will be completed and re-opened to traffic on or about July 9th. Minikel also told Seehafer News that the completion date for the project at the intersection of North 10th Street and Maritime Drive has been extended to June 4th.
Work was initially estimated to be completed by May 28th.
