
The Appleton woman who is facing charges in the 2017 death of her two-month-old son has been ordered to stand trial.
According to police reports, 35-year-old Nicole Sobay was sleeping in the same bed with the infant on June 6th, 2017, and when she woke up the child was facedown and unconscious.
According to the medical examiner, the child died from “Asphyxia with high-risk sleeping environment including bed-sharing with an adult as a contributing factor”.
Sobay admitted to authorities that she was hungover, and her blood tested positive for amphetamines, methamphetamines, opiates, and cannabinoids.
Sobay is facing a charge of First-Degree Reckless Homicide.
