A man police believe is a member of a Mexican drug cartel was arrested in a massive drug bust.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation had been surveilling the home of 32-year-old Manuel Antonio Herrera-Hernandez in the 500 block of 15th Street in Green Bay for quite some time as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
Finally, on May 17th, Herrera-Hernandez was pulled over by police, and a k-9 was called to the scene. He was found to be in possession of a large amount of fentanyl and meth, so a search of his home was conducted.
In total, about four pounds of Methamphetamine were seized, along with 24 grams of heroin, 58 grams of fentanyl, and 16.3 grams of cocaine, which all carried a street value of $115,000.
Herrera-Hernandez told authorities that the drugs were sent to him by the “New Generation Drug Cartel” in Mexico.
He was charged with 15 drug-related charges and had his bail set at $150,000 cash.
