It was a whale of a pitcher’s duel at Valders where the Vikings girls softball team dropped a 1-0 decision to New Holstein.
Maddie Lambert tossed a 1-hit complete game only to lose as the visiting Huskies scored an unearned run in the first inning.
New Holstein starter Jenna Karls also went the distance scattering 7-hits for the win.
Valders will host Sheboygan Falls on Thursday.
