Roncalli High School was recently gifted five brand new six-quart professional model KitchenAid mixers.
The mixers were donated by Richard and Beth Schmitz of Hortonville who have grandchildren at Roncalli Elementary School and Roncalli Middle School, and their daughter, Mrs. Christina Blindauer, is the family and consumer sciences teacher at Roncalli High School.
The mixers retail for $600 each and have replaced older, smaller-model mixers that will be used for Foods 1, Foods 2, Food Science, Senior Family Consumer Science Education, and Consumer Science Investigation.
The new mixers have more power and capabilities to assist with in-class baking and cooking.
They come with the standard flat-headed beater and wire whisk beater, as well as a dough hook, and have protective guards on them.
