The Mishicot School District Board of Education met yesterday (May 10th) where they voted on a resolution regarding their masking policy.
The Board unanimously approved the recommendation to continue all current COVID-19 mitigation strategies including the face-covering requirement through July 1st.
After that date, masking will be optional.

Dr. Paul Orlich, the Superintendent for the School District said in a news release, “Many community members have shared how fortunate our students are to have had the opportunity to attend in-person learning this entire school year if they so desired. With less than a month left in the school year, it only makes sense for us to continue doing what has worked for us.”
This announcement comes as the Luxemburg-Casco School District received backlash for their decision last week to lift their restrictions. They also met yesterday, where they reversed their decision.
