
Manitowoc Lincoln opened the FRCC portion of its’ boy’s baseball season Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Sheboygan North.
The Ships captured the opener 3-nothing behind a 2-hit shutout by Aiden Buck, who helped his own cause with a 2-run homer. North starter Ben Vorpahl took the loss.
In game-2, Buck hammered another 2-run shot in support of winning pitcher Noah Wech as part of a 6-3 Lincoln win. Jacob Gallagher got out of a bases-loaded jam after the Golden Raiders had scored 3-times in the 7th to break up the shutout.
The Ships are scheduled to host Pulaski this afternoon at Municipal Field.
Elsewhere in Boys Baseball today, Brillion is at Two Rivers, Sheboygan Falls is at Roncalli, New Holstein is at Valders, and Kiel visits Chilton.
In Girls Softball, Roncalli plays host to Sheboygan Falls/Kohler, Brillion is at Two Rivers, New Holstein is at Valders, Kewaunee travels to Reedsville, and Kiel is on the road to face Chilton.
