Two area men were among the 18 people who Governor Tony Evers pardoned recently.
A pardon is an official act which scrubs a conviction from the record of an individual.
One of the people Governor Evers recently pardoned was Sheboygan resident Thomas Fritz.
Fritz was arrested in his early 20s after he was found to be growing an illegal substance in his backyard. He now works in special education and is the grandfather to 18 grandchildren.
A Green Bay man was also pardoned for his crime.
Brian Rosner was 18 when he broke into a home, stole some items, and vandalized it. Now, over 25 years on, he has earned the forgiveness and support of the victims, while also mentoring children as a sports coach.
Governor Evers has issued 192 pardons in total since he took office.
