Former Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown receives 750-thousand dollars and an apology from the city.
The Common Council approved the settlement Tuesday.
The agreement doesn’t include an admission by the city that Brown’s constitutional rights were violated.
Brown was taken to the ground and shocked with a Taser on a January night in 2018.
The settlement includes wording that the incident over a parking violation “escalated in an unnecessary manner and despite Mr. Brown’s calm behavior.”
The city also agrees to make changes in the standard operating procedures for its police department.
