Governor Tony Evers is granting another 18 pardons to Wisconsin felons for a total of 192 since he took office.
Evers said, “these individuals have not only worked hard and built careers for themselves and their families, but have given back to their communities by coaching youth sports, mentoring kids, or providing support to other families and neighbors.”
The majority of the residents being pardoned were convicted on theft, drunken driving, or drug charges. A pardon will restore some of their rights including serving on a jury, holding public office, and certain professional licenses. It does not result in an expungement.
