Gas prices in eastern Wisconsin have continued their uphill trajectory, as some Counties approach the $3 mark.
Manitowoc County reported a five-cent increase in the average price per gallon of fuel, up to $2.78, while Sheboygan and Brown Counties each reported a four-cent jump to $2.75 and $2.76, respectively.
Calumet and Kewaunee Counties were relatively unchanged, each rising one penny per gallon up to $2.71 and $2.76 respectively, however, Outagamie and Door Counties saw the largest spike. They both reported a six-cent increase in fuel cost and now sit at $2.70 and $2.83, respectively.
The state average also jumped up six cents to $2.79, while the national average sits at $2.91, a rise of three cents from last week.
Wisconsin is not even the worst hit, as on average, the Dairy State sits right about in the middle, with 28 states paying more at the pump and 21 states boasting cheaper prices.
