
The month of April is now over, and Manitowoc County ended the month with moderate COVID-19 numbers.
According to the Health Department reports, only one person died throughout the month, and 132 new cases were reported. Also, 18,817 vaccines were administered, with 7,781 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
The vaccination numbers are down from March, where 727 more shots were administered, and 3,478 more of those shots were first doses.
As of the Friday (April 30th) report, 7,494 people have caught the virus, 69 people have died, 58,351 vaccines have been administered, and 32,599 of those were first dose shots.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported eight new cases on Friday, along with 10 new recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,659 confirmed cases, 13,395 recoveries and 126 cases remain active.
They did not report any new deaths, leaving that total at 138.
