The Brown County Sheriff’s Office held a news conference this morning to release more information on the shooting at Duck Creek Kitchen and Bar at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay.
The suspect was identified as a 62-year-old former employee of the restaurant, whose name we will not be reporting. He was fired earlier in the year and was forbidden from entering the property.
Authorities stated that the suspect entered the building on the south side between the casino and restaurant before walking to the restaurant, and going directly to the waiter’s station in the back of the restaurant.
He then fatally shot two employees, identified as 32-year-old Ian J. Simpson, and 35-year-old Jacob T. Bartle, with a 9MM handgun.
He also shot another employee of the restaurant, identified as 28-year-old Daniel L. Mulligan, outside the building. Mulligan is currently recovering at a Milwaukee hospital, where he is listed as being in serious but stable condition.
An officer was able to engage the suspect shortly after he shot Mulligan, and killed the shooter. That officer’s name has not yet been released.
