
A Manitowoc man who was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a child neglect charge has been sentenced.
John V. Boutwell also had charges of Intentionally Selling a Dangerous Weapon to a Child and Operating a Firearm While Intoxicated dismissed, but read into the record before being sentenced to two years probation by Judge Mark Rohrer.
Boutwell had fired a weapon into the air on October 3rd, 2020 after drinking. A young child was in the home at the time, crying as the gun was fired. The conditions of his probation are that Boutwell maintains absolute sobriety, not possess any weapons, and spend 60 days in the Manitowoc County Jail under Huber Law.
