May is recognized as National Foster Care Awareness Month, and Lakeshore Foster Families and Friends will be celebrating with an open house and ribbon-cutting on the 11th.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Manitowoc County will begin at 4:30 PM at their new location, 1011 Washington Street Suite 6 with an open house to follow. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
LFFF is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to support foster and kinship (relative placement) children and the families who care for them by raising awareness and providing much-needed resources and support. The goal is to make sure every placement provider has the resources they need by providing support, care kits, appreciation events, and many other unique resources.
