A large group of people gathered outside the Manitowoc County Courthouse yesterday in support of sexual assault survivors.
The event known as Hands Around the Courthouse aimed to highlight the efforts that are being made to prevent child abuse and neglect and sexual assault awareness.
Mayor Justin Nickels was on hand, where he read a pair of proclamations to the crowd. One of the proclamations was for Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month, and the other for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Julie Ribley, the Manitowoc County Court Appointed Special Advocate was also on hand.
