For the second time this week, a man was arrested in Manitowoc on child sex charges.
The 19-year-old suspect reportedly began speaking with a minor via Facebook Messenger on April 2nd, and they would discuss sexual things.
The duo then met a couple of days later at Washington Park before going to the victim’s home where they engaged in sex.
The suspect admitted to having sex with the minor on April 23rd, but said he thought she was of age.
While the investigation continued, he reportedly sent an email to the victim despite being told not to have any contact with her and also attempted to meet up with them again via Snapchat.
The suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday (April 28th) on charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime, and Child Exploitation.
