An area auto dealer is being investigated by state agencies.
While the detectives with the Division of Criminal Investigation and with the Department of Motor Vehicles have not released details about the investigation, they have been at 199Ride locations in Appleton and Ashwaubenon.
DOJ officials say this is an isolated event and there are no safety risks to the public.
199Ride shut down its locations in La Crosse and Wausau a couple of months ago, but it is not clear if this investigation is at all linked to those closures.
