The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has granted 16 school districts a portion of over $440,000 to help them purchase new technical education equipment.
Three area school districts were on the list to receive some of the Expanded Wisconsin Fast Forward Technical Education Equipment Grant Program money.
The New Holstein School District was awarded over $5,000 to support their Fab Lab Manufacturing Learning Center project, while the Kohler School District received just shy of $8,500 for their Robotics 2 Equipment Update.
Also, the Random Lake School District was awarded just shy of $50,000 for their MFG 4.0 Cooperative Capstone Course, which will reimburse the district for the purchase of a 95-MSB2AB Skill Boss Smart Factory.
