Bail is set at $1000 recognizance for a 51-year-old Manitowoc man facing drug charges after calling police to a Manitowoc bar over the weekend.
Charles J. Ackley is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
According to Police reports Ackley called dispatch saying that his friend was beaten up at Glenn’s Bar. When Officers spoke with Ackley they witnessed him throwing a bag under a nearby car that contained two containers of wrapping papers and he was taken into custody without incident.
Conditions of bail are that Ackley have no contact with Glenn’s Bar, maintain absolute sobriety, and report to the Manitowoc Police Department for photos and prints.
His initial appearance is scheduled for May 17th at 1:30.
