A 36-year-old Manitowoc man has been arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s child multiple times over a two to three-year span.
The mother of the child said that she was living with the man at the time of the assaults, which would occur while she was at work.
The assaults ranged from forcing the child’s hands onto his genitals to choking the child and forcing himself on the child. The man also reportedly made the child view pornographic videos on his phone on told the child not to say anything or he would kill them.
In total, around 70 different instances of sexual assault were reported to the police.
The man was taken into police custody on Monday (April 26th) and denied ever touching the child inappropriately.
He is facing a litany of charges, including Engaging in Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault of the Same Child, Exposing a Child to Harmful Material, 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, and one count each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
