
The date has been set for the 2021 Manitowoc County Hazardous Waste Clean Sweep program.
On Friday, May 14th businesses and farms will be able to swing by the County Highway Shop to turn in a variety of hazardous waste products, while the program will be open for residents on May 15th.
Accepted items include pesticides, cleaning products, oil and lead-based paints, automotive chemicals, and mercury. Many of these common items are hazardous when used, stored, or disposed of improperly. Look for items that contain the following warnings on their labels: Danger, Warning, Caution, Poison, Combustible, Flammable, Corrosive, and Toxic.
The County Highway Shop is located at 3500 Highway 310, and farms and businesses are required to pre-register by May 7th by calling 683-4333.
