This week was National Volunteer Week. This provides recognition to all the individuals that help charities and others through their generous donation of time.
It has been estimated by the Corporation for National and Community Service that 77.4 million people in the U.S. volunteered 6.9 billion hours of their time in 2019 which has been valued at $187.7 billion dollars. If you are looking to volunteer, but are not sure which charity or organization to help, the Better Business Bureau suggests you pick something that involves a passion of yours.
Also, start small. Event the largest non-profits and charities had to start with an idea, and planning. If you have any special skills, use those to help the organization you wish to support. Also, make sure you do your research on the organization, namely where they use the money they receive.
