State Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere has co-authored a bill aimed at supporting early access to Autism diagnosis and treatment.
Jacque and Representative David Murphy of Greenville released a statement about the importance of the bill.
In the statement, they say “The rates of diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are on the rise both locally and throughout the country. Wisconsin is falling behind its neighboring states in the early identification and treatment of children with autism.”
A litany of organizations throughout the state have voiced their support of the bill, including but not limited to the Autism Society, Wisconsin Early Autism Project, Fox Valley Autism Treatment Program, and Skylight Autism Center.
