Vendors doing business with Milwaukee County will soon be directed to reduce or stop using single-use plastic or polystyrene foam products.
The resolution approved Thursday by the Board of Supervisors would refer to county facilities and parks. A new contract will be drafted and the board will need to give its approval again. Thursday’s vote also calls for the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Culture to eliminate all products like that by next year.
