A simple traffic stop in Manitowoc yesterday (April 21st) resulted in two men facing drug charges.
An officer pulled over a vehicle containing the two men in the 800 block of North 8th Street just before 10:00 PM when they noticed the registration violation.
The officer asked the men to exit the vehicle and searched them.
One man was found to have over $400 in cash on him, so K9 Major was called to perform a sniff of the vehicle.
After Major came back with a positive hit, a search was performed, where the officers located several items of drug paraphernalia, as well as a baggie of a white powdery substance, the suspect said was “probably fentanyl”.
The 27-year-old suspect was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I or II Drug as Party to the Crime, as well as Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, while the other man was charged with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I or II Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Bail Jumping.
