The Manitowoc Lincoln top doubles team breezed past their first-round opponent this morning…defeating previously undefeated (8-&-oh) Emma Yeakley & Ella Wirtz of Oregon 6-1, 6-love to improve their season record to 14-&-2.
The #7 seeded doubles Team in D-1 now meets an Oshkosh West duo, Bettcher and Carpenter in the next round. The Wildcats combo beat a team from Verona 6-4, 6-3.
Meanwhile, Ships freshman Olivia Minikel has a bye in the singles flight and will play her opening match later today (Thursday).
