Charges have been filed against a 59-year-old De Pere man, who reportedly sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl.
Jeffery Wayne Belisle was in Brown County Court yesterday for his initial appearance.
His actions came to light after a woman noticed that Belisle appeared to be grooming the young girl.
She spoke with the girl who confirmed that Belisle had touched her inappropriately, and called him “scary”.
Belisle adamantly denies any wrongdoing, explaining that he had tickled her previously but never touched her in a sexual manner.
If convicted, Belisle could spend as many as 60-years in prison.
