Bail was set at $10,000 cash each for two Manitowoc men facing drug charges after a routine traffic stop Wednesday night.
32-year-old Desmond R. Poling is charged with Ontent to deliver a Schedule One or Two Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Felony Bail Jumping while 27-year-old Dominique R. May is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule One or Two Drug As Party To the Crime and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Police pulled over a vehicle on North Eighth Street for a registration violation. The officer noticed one of the suspects had over $400 cash on him and called K-9 Major to perform a sniff of the vehicle. A positive hit and subsequent search turned up several items of Drug Paraphernalia along with a baggie of a white powdery substance which one of the suspects said was probably fentanyl and both men were taken into custody.
Conditions of bail for both May and Poling are that they have “no contact” with one another or any drug users or dealers and maintain absolute sobriety.
Both defendants remain in the County Jail with initial appearances scheduled for May 3rd at 1:30 PM.
