Seehafer Broadcasting, headquartered in Manitowoc, has sold two of its radio stations located in Wisconsin Rapids.
President Mark Seehafer sold WFHR-AM and WLJY-FM to Heart of Wisconsin Media, which is owned by Marcus Jeager in a sale that was approved by the FCC in February and became final on April 16th.
Seehafer Broadcasting purchased the two radio stations in 2006 under former President Don Seehafer with Mark taking over in 2016.
Seehafer commented on the sale, saying it “allows us to continue to narrow our focus to the lakeshore community and what we do best, providing news, entertainment, music, and sports for our listeners in Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and the surrounding area.”
Seehafer Broadcasting still owns WOMT-AM/FM, WCUB-AM/FM, WLKN-FM, WQTC-FM, WLTU-FM, and WEMP-FM in Manitowoc, as well as WOSQ-FM and WDLB-AM in Marshfield, along with the Seehafer News website and app.
