Starting today, Amerequip will begin celebrating their 100th year of operations by planting 100 trees in their hometown of Kiel.
The manufacturer began their tree planting journey this morning at 9:30 at Hingiss Park, along with the workers from the Kiel Public Works Department.
In the coming weeks, additional Amerequip team members will also assist with the project until all 100 trees are planted.
Amerequip President and CEO Mike VanderZanden said that they had to put their celebration off by a year due to COVID but decided on planting trees due to their “focus on equipment for lawns and landscapes.”
Trees will be planted throughout Kiel’s parks, including Hingiss Park, Waack Park, Big Rock Park, Belitz Park, and others.
